Using the laser-ablation or microprobe facilities at Adelaide Microscopy, we can assess the composition of a wide variety of minerals, including most silicates, sulphides, oxides, and carbonates. Mineral chemistry can be used to address a range of questions, including element deportment within a deposit, mineral identification, fluid evolution, and geothermometry.
